The History Channel

I started playing music in 1965 with a group called "The Youngmen", an obnoxious group of eighth graders from Lathrop Junior High. We were picked up by L.A. DJ Sam Riddle and swept off to stardom. (in our minds of course) We were fortunate enough to play with such acts as "The Buffalo Springfield", "The Association", "The Temptations", "Al Wilson", " Sonny and Cher", "Frank Zappa"  and opened for "The Four Seasons" on their very first West Coast performances.
(I love you Bob and Eddy) .... since then I've:
  •  Recorded 2 albums on MGM with a group called "Churchill".
(Started losing brain cells at a rapid pace)
  • Experimented with groups such as "Stark Naked and The Car Thieves" and "The Exploding Pintos".
    (Two of my favorites)
  • Recorded album for Hitchcock Media "Everybody's Love Song". Studio players include Carlos Vega, Nathan East, Ernie Watts, Steve Lukather, and James Newton Howard.
(Can I drop names or what?)
  • Met up with long time neighbor Bill Medley of The Righteous Brothers and became a part of "The Rock Around The Clock Show", longest running show in Orange County.....8 years.
    (But who counted?)
  • Recorded Yippie-I-O for Curb Records with Bill Medley as producer.
    (Awfully proud of this one)
  • Moved to Branson and wrote, produced, and featured myself in "The At The Hop Show" Though I collected the "Best Male Newcomer" award my proudest accomplishment was the "Best New Show" nomination.
(I think of you guys often)

Currently recording a Jazz Standard CD/ writing some Gospel songs/ and collecting old Studebaker parts for my yard.
(Did I mention I'm into desert landscaping?)

Far left, my wife Peggy Sue filling in for yet to be found....3rd hoppett in early promo shot

And you thought I was kidding?
